Enhance Fiscal Responsibility

We need to take a hard look at budget management to maximize resources for student learning and teacher support.  The more accountability the better with regards to contracts and how Gretna Public Schools spends taxpayer dollars.

Strengthen Transparency with the Community

As your representative, I will increase transparency and collaboration between the school board, parents, and teachers to address and anticipate the needs of our growing community. The members of the school board should respond to the parents and students they serve.

Promote a Politically Neutral Classroom

Ensuring that our education system focuses on critical thinking and learning means being free from political and cultural bias. Our educational material should apply to everyone. Classrooms and curriculums should not be visibly slanted to a particular political affiliation or worldview.

Age Appropriate

Just as classrooms and libraries should be applicable to all demographics, they should also be age appropriate. Parents can provide any materials they so choose for their children at home, while taxpayer purchases of books and materials should be as neutral as possible.
